TheTalentPeople & BCS Join Forces to Bridge the UK’s Digital Skills Gap 

With the UK facing critical shortage of digital skills TheTalentPeople are partnering with BCS to create a solution.

TheTalentPeople, in partnership with BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, and The Institute of Coding (IoC), is proud to announce the launch of GetMyFirstDigitalJob – an innovative new project designed to connect newly qualified digital talent with employers across a variety of sectors.  

 

This exciting initiative is part of the broader Click Start programme, developed by the IoC and funded by Nominet, which upskills individuals with essential digital competencies and prepares them for a rewarding career in any industry. GetMyFirstDigitalJob will link Click Start learners to real job opportunities, information, and career advice through cutting-edge technology and expert-led guidance.  

As part of the GetMyFirstDigitalJob initiative, employers can showcase their digital roles to a wider audience at no additional cost.

GetMyFirstDigitalJob: Addressing the UK’s Digital Skills Shortage 

With the UK facing a critical shortage of digital skills, this project provides a crucial bridge between learners and employers.  

Specifically designed for Click Start learners who are ready to enter the digital workforce, GetMyFirstDigitalJob showcases a wide range of digital job opportunities across various sectors in the UK. By making it easier for companies to access diverse, newly qualified candidates, this initiative directly tackles the growing skills gap.  

 

David Allison, CEO of TheTalentPeople, emphasised the importance of this project:

Learners will receive one-to-one support from expert Career Coaches and access to virtual learning modules covering essential topics such as interview preparation, recruitment processes, AI, and soft skills.

About the Click Start Project 

Click Start, delivered by the Institute of Coding and funded by Nominet, aims to provide underrepresented groups with access to digital education and training. Through this collaboration with TheTalentPeople and BCS, Click Start learners will gain crucial support on their journey into employment in the digital sector.
