Home Based in (Leeds/Manchester/Preston)– with client weekly travel via car required for schools’ delivery.

Salary:
4 days a week, term time only, salary ranging between £13,800 and £15,000, plus a car allowance

What will you do?
This role is responsible for inspiring young people in what a career in the Creative Industry could look like for them through delivery of workshops in schools in the North of England. Some activities will be delivered on-line, but the ability to travel nationally in term time (about 60 days per year) is an important part of this role.

What will the role of Creative Careers Influencer and Presenter involve?

  • Becoming ‘the face’ of the project, visible in the market and leading on customer interaction
  • Supporting and advising the team on the design of school workshop materials, to ensure they will engage and inspire the 11-16-year-old audience.
  • Contributing to the 4Schools social media channels alongside the marketing team, providing first-person blog content, videos, and other written content to feature across the channels
  • Lead the delivery of school workshops to inspire, excite and expand students’ horizons on the career opportunities that lie ahead of them.
  • Deliver exciting sessions whether that be virtual or face-to-face
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with schools and other educational stakeholders.

More specifically for this role, you will need to…

  • Hold a full UK driving license and have access to a car
  • Have experience presenting and talking to large groups of people
  • Be a strong rapport builder with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be confident in teaching and controlling the behaviour of a class of students
  • Driven with a proven track record of delivering high quality work
  • Sound understanding of what it takes to engage students of ages 11-16
  • Self-motivation and ability to organise own time effectively
  • Maintain a current knowledge of UK apprenticeships
  • High level of literacy

What will you do?
As a Talent Manager at GetMyFirstJob, you’ll work in a consultative, coaching approach with our candidates, guiding them through the application process and forging strong relationships and bonds of trust in one of the most important times in their lives.

Acting as their recruitment advisor, you’ll be there with them throughout the whole process, from initial role exploration and CV submission, right through to interview preparation and onboarding. 

Alongside your responsibilities to candidates, you will also act as point of contact for external stakeholders, reporting back on your campaign findings, making strategic decisions and offering advice of best practice with a view of constant improvement.

Other responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and post opportunities across a range of platforms in line with employer and business requirements.
  • Contact candidates via phone, email and SMS to let them know about suitable opportunities
  • Receive and review applications, manage telephone/video interviews and online tests to create a shortlist of young people for the employer.
  • Check the suitability and eligibility of applicants before submitting their details to the employer.
  • Create talent pools on GetMyfirstJob system to support reverse marketing of candidates.
  • Prepare CVs and correspondence to forward to employers in respect of suitable applicants.
  • Organise interviews for young people as requested by the employer, conducting mock interviews if appropriate.
  • Support campaign managers with strategic decisions and providing relevant updates and answering questions on stakeholder calls.
  • Ensure the regular daily and accurate input of all activity in GetMyFirstJob systems.
  • Provide regular reports of business activity volumes, recruitment success and vacancies.
  • Being led by the data, driving your pipeline and activity from the Marketing team to fulfil campaign objectives.

What do you need?
To succeed in this role you’ll need to be passionate about making a difference in young peoples lives and have excellent communication skills. Other skills required include:

  • Driven with a proven track record at meeting recruitment objectives
  • Sound understanding of recruitment in a commercial environment
  • Self-motivation and ability to organise own time effectively

  • High level of literacy
