Case Study BPP

About BPP

BPP are an international training provider delivering programmes for some of the biggest international employers in a range of specialist areas, including law, accountancy, financial services, nursing, technology and other programmes. With 80,000 learners across 7,000 businesses in 170 countries, BPP are an organisation that know the importance of delivering high quality solutions for sophisticated clients.

The Problem

BPP’s clients are some of the biggest employer brands in the UK. Offering highly attractive, well paid roles across the UK it’s vital that both candidate and client receive nothing but the highest level of service. Working in this market creates unique challenges. Corporate employers’ approach to recruitment is highly sophisticated, often with multiple stages of selection using remote and face-to-face meetings as part of an overall process. Managing and reporting on the process, complete with insight into diversity and inclusion at every stage is a given. Competition from candidates is tough too – with thousands of applications, keeping the best candidates engaged throughout this process is vital. Automating processes to allow recruiters to provide the right advice to the right candidates at the right time keeps the whole process running smoothly.

The Solution

As long term users of the TalentPortal, BPP were amongst the first to adopt the new TalentPortal Enterpise platform. Over and above the well documented TalentPortal Professional, the Enterprise solution provided all of the extra functionality that was required.

The integrated and bespoke careers website allows customised candidate journeys; from branding and material supporting the Employer Value Proposition, the online experience is highly manageable. From customised online questions to embedded management of eligibility, candidates experience a clear and easy to follow process, all embedded in the BPP apprenticeship website. The ability to create custom marketing campaigns ensures that all marketing activity is transparent and easy to manage. The availability of advanced reporting and APIs make access to data and integrations easy to manage from day 1.

The Result

Over 17,000 applications have been managed in just 12 months, from 16 different online jobs boards and platforms, all managed through the TalentPortal. Whilst the scale is impressive, the efficiency of automating candidate communications has been one of the most significant improvements, with recruiters able to fill vacancies twice as quickly. The extensive and automated reporting has also improved communications with employers, whilst significantly reducing administration time.
