We’re also registered and certified as a Social Enterprise with SEUK (membership 7928) who hold us accountable for delivering positive impact to our candidate audiences each year. We do this in three ways:

1. Developing young peoples’ awareness of career options
2. Inspiring them to broaden their horizons and aspirations
3. Helping them make more informed choices based on insights and personal feedback
4. Apply for, and start the right opportunities and jobs for them.

What makes a social enterprise different?

Well, firstly we’re committed to making a sustainable difference – we’re not a charity dependant on grants and gifts. We believe that to create solutions that will last, we need to find ways of delivering them efficiently, effectively and economically.

That means our customers pay us for the solutions we create. As a Social Enterprise, we’re committed to re-investing continuously in our business. Our shareholders understand this. We take it so seriously, it forms a major part of our formal agreement between the founders, our shareholders and senior management team.

A Theory of Change

To help us manage this process, and check our progress, we created a ‘Theory of Change’ model with Nesta when they first invested in the business in 2014.

This theory of change is continually used to evaluate our impact; how many young people are able to make better decisions about the options open to them, and ultimately how many opportunities are created, and filled.
